  • How to attach a pageant crown?--Tanghuaise Accessories
1.Typically, full pageant crowns have four small hooks on the inside of the rim. Take one elastic band, and stretch it from one hook across to the diagonal hook. Take another elastic band, and do the same, stretching it and attaching each end to the other two diagonal hooks. The two elastic bands should form an "X" or a cross over the opening of the crown rim. The center of the "X" or cross should match the top center of the wearer's head. 2.Clip bobby pins along the elastic lines and onto the hair to fasten the crown. Imagine a clothesline with laundry clips across it. 3.Use clear fishing wire to attach the crown, if the elastic bands tend to come off easily or if there are no hoops inside the crown. Create an "X" formed inside the crown circle so that you can use bobby pins, clips, barrettes or any other hair fastening device along the two lines.

  • How to make your own tiara?--Tanghuaise Accessories
1.Cut an 8-inch-long piece of medium-gauge jewelry wire. Fill the wire loosely by alternating between pearl beads and crystal beads in the pattern of your choice. Leave 1/2 inch of wire empty at the ends. 2.Shape the wire ends into loops and tuck the ends of the loops into the closest beads. The loops allow you to attach the tiara to bobby pins to keep it secure in your hair. Shape the wire into a semicircle to make the tiara's base. 3.Cut a 6-inch-long piece of the wire and fill it with the same type of beads with 1/2 inch empty at the ends. Shape the wire into a semicircle. Hold the wire perpendicular to the base wire and wrap the 1/2-inch ends around the base wire to attach the two. 4.Cut a 4-inch-long piece of wire, fill it with the beads and leave 1/4-inch empty at the ends. Shape the wire into a semicircle and hold the wire perpendicular to the base wire, centered in between the 6-inch-long wire. Wrap the 1/4-inch ends around the base wire. 5.Cut a 2-inch-long piece of wire, fill it with beads and leave 1/4 inch empty ends again. Shape the wire into a semicircle and hold it perpendicular to the base wire, centered in between the 4-inch-long wire. Wrap the ends around the base wire.

  • How to put on a Tiara?--Tanghuaise Accessories
Regal Updos Style your hair into an updo before putting on a tiara. Choose pinned up curls and waves, or a sleek bouffant. For non-curly styles, backcomb under the top layer at the crown to give your hair grip. Position a clipless tiara where your hairline meets your forehead, in front of the section that is combed directly back over your crown. Decide whether you want to push back bangs or leave them out. Push the two ends of the tiara into your hair behind your ears, then slide it along your scalp gently toward the back of your head. Stop pushing the tiara back when the two end pieces are completely hidden and only the embellished portion remains visible. Position the tiara about 1 inch away from your hairline. Move your head from side to side to check whether or not the tiara slides around beneath your hair. If it is not firmly in place, slide some hair pins in the same tone as your hair on top of the end pieces to keep them in place. Hold a can of hairspray about 10 inches above your finished hairstyle. Coat the hair that covers the base of the tiara twice to help keep it in place. Use a freeze- hold hairspray for lasting results.
